This morning at 7:30 CarolC and I rode about 9 miles out and back.  The path is mostly level and shady with waterfalls in the creek and lots of bird songs.  DianeN and Mike started with us but went further and faster.  I plan to lead this beginner ride once a month and Carol says she will be back.
