What a pleasant day to be hiking! KathleenC with Mamie and Baby, SharonS, and Jacque with Sheba met in the parking lot and the visiting began. SharonS is a new member of TOWN Austin and a friend of DebbieB. Our visiting included: Spain and Kathleen’s upcoming three week walking the El Camino de Santiago with her daughter, having luggage transported, how much water to carry daily; tribulations of traveling – late or lost luggage, to wear or not to wear a mask on the plane, TSA long lines; Maidenhair Ferns – brown with the heat and drought but some so soft and springy as the springs rebound from our rain; Poison Ivy, the appearance, and staying far, far away from it; Pickle Ball paddles and plastic whiffle balls, where to play, what the courts are like, and eye protection; muddy trails and shoes; BOW workshops; limbs falling from trees about four feet ahead of us; puzzles – 500, 1000, and 2000 pieces, working on the dining room table and having to move it before dinner; dogs that ignore you. Guess that’s all for this walk!
