Outings
Q. What happens at the monthly meetings?
A. We gather each month to learn new skills or knowledge that add depth to our outings. Meetings are the fourth Tuesday of the month. Please see our home page for specific dates and speakers. You do not need to be a member to attend our meetings. In fact, we would love to meet you at a meeting! Please consider yourself invited.
Q. Who can go on outings?
A. Usually anyone. There may be age or proficiency restrictions for some activities. You must RSVP for all events so we know how many people are going and who to expect. The guest/pet policy is completely at the discretion of the leader. We make the effort to specify if guests and/or family members and/or pets may also attend. But you are always welcome to contact the leader to clarify.

Q. How do I become a member?
A. Go to Meetup to start your trial membership.
History and Organizational Questions
Q. When and why was TOWN formed?
A. We are an offshoot of the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) program sponsored by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. We were formed in 1992 so that women attending the BOW weekends could continue to participate in their new-found interests with women of similar interests after they returned home. We provide a kind, fun, supportive environment for women to enjoy outdoor activities.
Q. Is this a non-profit group?
A. Yes. We are a 501(c)7 organization as of December, 2001.
Q. Do we have bylaws?
A. Yes. You may view them here.
